
‘Home’ then offers a locus through which to reimagine and reorientate policy and practice, centred above all else on growing and upholding personhood and wellbeing. It prompts us to look beyond ‘care services’ to think about the full range of assets, ideas and expertise that can be stitched together to support us all to experience and enjoy ‘home’ in all its manifestations. It involves, among other things, design, technology, social pedagogy, community development, supported decision-making, and the rethinking of ‘care’ itself.
