Investigating the understanding and management of self-harm in a children’s residential therapeutic community

“It was an intention of this study to compose a definition of self-harm in relation to what this means within the therapeutic residential setting of Fairview. As with the nature of the management of this behaviour, it can be concluded that there is no quick fix in answering this, with the answer ultimately being found within the therapeutic relationship with the child.”
