The list of technology solutions examined included those that support time and place orientation, lighting, kitchen gadgets, eating, drinking, physical and digital technology. Researchers found gadgets such as Fitbits, hot water dispensers, jar openers and smart speakers, which enabled small changes to residents’ daily life, had a transformative effect on their wellbeing and safety.
