Care home guidance to support those with learning disabilities and dementia

New national guidance has been developed to help care homes in Scotland provide the right care for people with a learning disability who also have dementia.

The My New Home guidance from Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) and the Care Inspectorate is intended to help care home staff offer the right support to people with learning disabilities and dementia who are moving to a care home because they can no longer be looked after in their own home.
