“If you are not part of the social care market you probably believe that care homes in England are predominantly owned by large off-shore conglomerates.

If you are involved you will know that the market is mostly run by small independent businesses. To be exact the 9,800 or so care homes that look after older people are owned by 4,871 different providers, a vast majority of which own three homes or less.”
