“While dealing with the shock of COVID-19 has led to some lessons being learned, the pandemic has also highlighted the need to proactively prepare and ensure that people who need support to live well are visible and have the mechanisms in place to access support when they need it. This could be making sure people know where they can access advice and information in a format that suits them, how to get an assessment or funding for an
adaptation regardless of their tenure, or support to start thinking about different options if they might have to move home at some point in the future.”
